Humboldt Cutthroat Trout
Where to find them:
Humboldt Cutthroat can be found in the Ruby Mountains. According to the Nevada Department of Wildlife they are abundant in Smith Lake and Verdi Lake and also present in several others. Dave reports catching them in the North Fork of the Humboldt. The strongest population of these fish today is reported to occur in the Mary's River drainage, although many small streams across their native range still host populations.
