Greenback Cutthroat Trout

Where to find them:

The Colorado Division of Wildlife has been actively restoring greenback cutthroats to streams and lakes in and around Rocky Mountain National Park and in the upper reaches of the Lake Fork of the Arkansas River. Many of these places are open to catch and release fishing. Some of the locations are described in the Greenback Cutthroat Trout Recovery Plan. and in the Rocky Mountain National Park Fishing Information and Regulations brochure that is available at the park.

Some of these waters may be closed to angling to protect these and other fish. Check with the Colorado Division of Wildlife before going out.
