Gila Trout

Where to find them:

If you are looking to catch a Gila trout, first visit the New Mexico Game and Fish Department's informational website on these fish. There are a few streams like Iron Creek, Black Canyon, and Mogollon Creek where anglers can try to catch wild Gila cutts, as well as stocked streams like Willow, Gillita, and Sapillo Creek and the Gila Forks Winter Trout Area. Seasonal, catch, gear, and registration restrictions do exist and may change from time to time.
