Wyoming Cutt Slam

Starting to plan a trip for the Wyoming Cutt Slam - I would appreciate any input or advice.  We will be heading up there sometime this summer (2010).  It is a new area to me, so any input would be great, including spots along the way...We will likely be making a huge loop, from NorCal up through Oregon, to Seattle, over to Spokane, and down through Idaho into SW Montana and western Wyoming and back through northern Nevada.  So many waters...

Thanks,

CB

Knucklehead here.

WVBrookie asked me to edit his comment to remove specific sensitive locations he had listed. And in the process of doing so, I deleted everyone's comments. If any of them were important, please repost.

Sorry guys!

It was after I noticed that everyone else had responded via email, that I realized I may have gone too far.

I don't take offense to anything! If I go out of line on information, somebody send me an email.

No worries!

You sound like the guy I need to talk to!  We are just in the planning stages, and I am a real newbie to Wyoming, so any info would be great.

We will probably be driving from the north to the south along the west side of Wyoming, most likely in late July - early August.

Please PM me if you don't want to share secrets...

WY Cutt Slam

DeanM's picture

Hello All,

Just stumble across this site doing some 'internet prep' for our try at completing the WY Cutt Slam this summer. We venture somewhere for a week or so every summer to camp, fish trout waters and enjoy the great outdoors. This will be our first experience in this area of WY in which we need to target 3 of the native Cutt species. We have caught the Yellowstone Cutts on previous trips, but hope to catch all 4 in this one trip. I would welcome any feedback or helpful hints (email if you prefer) - we prefer disperse 'back country' camping, tread lightly and have a very healthy respect for the resource. Thanks in advance for any help!

DeanM
