Strange fish...

I thought that I would share an interesting article that I recently found on the web.  http://www.brooktrout.ca/tiger-trout.htm

I would guess some sort of hybrid or mutation, but these are some strange looking fish.

The article mentions that the tiger trout is strictly a hatchery fish. In Canada perhaps, but there have been documented tigers among wild trout populations in PA, MD, and WV.

Our state quit rearing the tiger in the hatcheries about 10 years ago, but I found this guy during a fingerling stocking in 2007.

Those Tiger Trout may just be hybrids, but they sure are cool looking.
