Do you guys have any suggestions for must bring flies? Based on Gary's experience I'll be sure to bring some bee patterns. Based on Anders', I'll bring midges and basic attractor nymphs. I was thinking ants and beetles as well...
I did really well there using a dry and dropper system. A sz 12 royal pmx worked well, but a size 16 soft hackle tellico nymph made the difference between fish and no fish for the greenbacks.
The midges were great early season, but I bet you can get away with something a little bigger now. I almost always fish dry-droppers these days. If it were me, I think I'd start with an elk hair caddis and a copper john, or some variation like that. Honestly, in my experience, the greenbacks aren't that discriminating.

If you plan to fish flat water I can't help you, but moving water I don't use anything but a size 18 EHC. The greenbacks, brookies, & Colorado River cutts like them - I've never caught a brown or bow in the park. I've also never felt the need to fish a dropper, but again I've never fished flat water.
I've always wanted to make the journey all the way to Lawn Lake but 10,500 is the highest I've been on Roaring River.
