Favorite Resource for Native Trout info searching??
So I was wondering what resources everyone likes to use to look up information on a targeted native trout species. For me my favorite has to be google scholar. This is a great resource for finding scientific articles, but has some extreme limitation unless used in conjunction with a University Library system.
So what do you guys use for info hunting??

Mostly studies published by
Mostly studies published by UC Davis. Sometimes they are hard to find but you can often times email someone to get a copy. I also like this recent report a lot. IT has lots the info I need for California trout.

Research Resources
Hey Gary,
I use YOU as a prime resource. Seriously, I have followed your blog for a few years now. Other than personal blogs, I simply do searches and check out anything that looks good. Local fly shop forums usually have search capabilities which can lead to accurate, recent info. Some of my favorite resources, though, are the various pdf. formatted reports from National Forest studies and Department of Fish and Game organizations.
Native Trout Resources
Started with the index from Ralph Cutters "Sierra Trout Guide" 1st Edtion and 'Native Trout of North America" by Robert H. Smith in 1985.
I then started reading Pat Trotters "Cutthroat - Native Trout of the West" when I was 13.
When I turned 18 I purchased a copy of "Trout" Wildlife Series and eventually joined the AFS and purchased "Native Trout of Western North America" by Dr. Robert Bhenke and Robert Gresswell's "Status and Management of Interior Cutthroat Trout". Most of these publications have updated versions.
Have been reading Dr. Moyle's "Inland Fishes of California" 2nd edition off and on for the past two years.
And I think I have been following Dave. B and Michael Carl "EcoAngler" for the past couple years too.
