Lake Lahonton Cutthroat Trout

Date:
April 7, 2009
Notes:

I traveled to Lake Lenore in Washington to fishing for the spring spawning Lahontan Cutthroat trout.  The lake has no outlet or inlet so the trout gather at the shallow, northend of the lake and swim laps.  It is a nice catch and release fishery with a decent chance of hooking a big trout on a midge.

I managed to catch a couple of nice Lahontans from shore.

Next time I will bring my pontoon boat so that I can move out further for a larger area to fish.
